What the cellar keeps, it also changes.

Placement by allocation
Placement is at the discretion of the Placement Committee.
Compositionadrenochrome sealed in 1971 and settled by the cellar, in aged eau-de-vie darkened over its keeping, with faded violet and a saline trace of old oak.
The Libération Tardive is a reserve the Maison held in its cellars well beyond the window in which it was meant to be allocated. It was not made late; it was kept, and time did its work in the dark. Now released under a second date, it is offered as the cellar left it.
ExpressionMature and contemplative; a deeper colour, a softened meniscus, fine sediment, and subtle tonal separation — the settled register of a thing preserved rather than newly made.
MethodNone added. What the cellar keeps, it also changes; the house records the change and applies only a secondary seal at release.
Collector profileRare and directly of the cellar — prized for the dual dating of sealing and release and for a condition no current production can reproduce.
PresentationThe original ampoules, darkened and lightly oxidised, set inside a new conservation case with an archive-style paper band, linen straps, dual dating for sealing and release, restored original packaging, archive labels, and a contemporary conservation certificate.
AllocationA single cellar lot; placement is by allocation. The Registre is closed and price is not quoted.
